Leonard Kleinrock (born in New York City, New York, USA, June 13, 1934, age 77 years) was an American engineer and scientist as the inventor of the Internet or the father of Internet.A professor of computer science at the UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Science, he made important contributions to various areas of computer networks, particularly for the theoretical side of computer networks. He is known for its contribution to the world network. His most famous and significant is the theory of packet switching through the paper in 1959 and 1961 for the exchange of packets in conjunction with the Technology Package, which is the forerunner of the Internet technology. On 29 October 1969, he created one of the greatest inventions of the modern era before the Internet had accidentally managed to crack the digital code and paste it as a separate packages.Kleinrockpun Leonard one of the pioneers of digital communication networks, and helped build the ARPANET.Kleinrock on 13 June 1934 in New York City was born, he graduated from Bronx High School of Science degree in 1951 and received his bachelor of electrical engineering and computer science in 1957 from City College of New York. In 1959 and 1963 he earned a master's degree and a doctorate (Ph.D.) in electrical engineering and computer sciences at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. After graduation, he pendidian later faculty member at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Engineering and Applied Science, where he worked as a professor of computer science.ARPANET sent the first news about the UCLA student programmer Charley Kline at 10:30 clock, 29 3420th October 1969 by Boelter Hall, he was cared for by Kleinrock. Kline from the SDS Sigma-Stanford University in transmitted computer. Two letters were on a keyboard, the LO at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and on the screen at the Stanford Research Institute, 314 miles away seems to have entered.Computer scientists want to login, but terminated the connection just before G.In 1988, Kleinrock was the chairman of the National Research Network to the U.S. Congress. This report is very influential and can be used for High Performance Computing Act of 1991 that affect the development of the Internet, as it is now known to be developing. The financing of the bill are used in the development of a web browser Mosaic in 1993, at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA). Today, Internet technology has made as a multi-media.Communication interpesonal over the Internet (eg e-mails and chats) or en masse, for example mailing list. Internet is also able to participate in real-time audio-visual as in the conventional method with the use of telephone conference. He has received many awards. Kleinrock for the coveted award from the National of Science selected to receive a national scientific honor, from President George W. Bush in the White House in the 29th September 2008. awarded the 2007 National Medal of Science in providing outstanding contributions to the mathematical theory of modern data networks and functional specifications for packet switching, which is the foundation for mentoring generations of Internet technology.
