Kathleen E. Walsh is an American film and television actress. She was born in San Jose, California, on October 13, 1967. She grew up in San Jose and Tucson, Arizona, later attending the University of Arizona, where she got involved in regional theater. She later moved to Chicago where she began working with the Piven Theatre Workshop and later the Chicago Shakespeare Repertory. She performed on National Public Radio in the production of the radio play Born Guilty. Walsh later moved to New York City and joined the comedy troupe Burn Manhattan, performing in a number of Off-Broadway plays.
Equipped with a kind look Catherine_Deneuve-by-way-or-kelly_clarkson, Kate Walsh may have an impressive list of film and TV roles on her resume, but her first appearance on stage. Starting in the regional theater in Tucson, AZ, where they go to college, Walsh later hired the Piven Theatre Workshop and Shakespeare Repertory in Chicago, and the comedy troupe Burn Manhattan in New York.
Until the mid-90s, Walsh began slowly but surely moving to the screen with appearances in TV shows such as Homicide: Life on the Street, Law & Order. Walsh's list of film and TV appearances soon grew, and under her oodles of roles, a number of prominent parts on very popular shows. She was regularly The_Drew_Carey_Show in 1997, drew a heavy weight wrestling suit Drew playing girlfriend, and in 2001, she took a recurring role on the HBO series The Mind of the Married.
In 2005, Walsh joined the cast of the smash-hit series Grey's_Anatomy, plays Dr. Addison Montgomery Shepherd, alienated (and possibly ex-) wife of "Dr. McDreamy" Patrick_Dempsey. Walsh suddenly from a working actress, a familiar face and it seemed the perfect time to segue into the actress on the big screen in a leadership capacity, after a series of small performances in great movies.
