Actress. Born Norma Jeane Mortenson (later baptized as Norma Jeane Baker) on 1 June 1926, in Los Angeles, California. During her short life to be Marilyn Monroe overcame a difficult childhood to the biggest and most enduring sex symbols in the world. She never knew her father and mother, Gladys developed psychiatric problems and was eventually taken to a psychiatric clinic. In 1953, Monroe was a star turn in Niagara, with murder as a young woman to her husband, with the help of her lover.
